20 Rescued from Exploitation in Zimbabwe

While they all faced sexual exploitation, only one of them was being controlled by a trafficker.

Poverty drives vulnerability. All of those other girls were forced to sell their bodies just to provide for their families without a trafficker being involved at all. Some of them had sick parents and mounting medical bills. Some of their parents struggled with addiction. They all needed food for their families, and with no other options, they endured the unthinkable just to survive.

Now things are different for those kids. All of them enrolled in our care, where they’ll learn to move past the trauma they suffered while being equipped to live free.

These brave girls sacrificed so much for their families. Their road ahead will still be difficult, but after vocational training, they can join other survivors who’ve landed stable jobs or even become entrepreneurs. Best of all, they’ll walk that road in freedom.

Neighbor arrested for abusing 13-year-old girl in the Dominican Republic

A 13-year-old girl was attending a community event when a 25-year-old man from her neighborhood approached her. Taking advantage of the child being unattended, the man invited the girl to a local store. On the way, he sexually abused her.

An arrest warrant was issued, but the suspected child abuser remained at large.

With the support of Destiny Rescue, the police found the suspect two months later, following an extensive investigation.

Sadly, an abuser is often someone a child trusts, such as a neighbor, but every child deserves to be safe in the community they call home.

The survivor is recovering safely at home with the support of her family.

27 People Rescued from Human Traffickers in Nepal

Border agents stopped the victims before human traffickers could lure them out of the country.

All 27 people, including 15 children, are now survivors—no longer victims of this horrific crime. All have been reunited with their families.

16 Children Rescued from Sexual Exploitation

Nine girls and seven boys are now free after being rescued from sexual exploitation in Kenya.

The kids are starting new lives after enrolling in our post-rescue programming, in which they’ll be equipped with the skills required to stay free.

12-year-old boy rescued

A 12-year-old boy was rescued, and his trafficker was arrested.

Recently, when Juma, a 12-year-old boy, traveled several miles outside his village to sell goods at a local market, a man approached him and convinced him to leave his home for a job in another city.

A false promise of a job is a common tactic traffickers use to lure vulnerable victims into exploitation.

An informant became aware of the situation and alerted the police. Juma was successfully located within days and provided valuable information that led to the arrest of the man he had met in the market.

7 girls rescued in East Africa

In August, reports came in of a group of seven young girls walking on foot toward a major city in East Africa. With our support, a government counter-trafficking officer brought the vulnerable girls to district headquarters, where our team helped conduct interviews. The girls are receiving counseling, food and basic necessities in an emergency shelter while our team helps determine next steps. Investigations are ongoing to identify the traffickers and their network.
