Destiny Rescue is expanding rescue operations!

Even as we relentlessly strive to continue saving children from sexual exploitation in our established Rescue Nations, such as Thailand and Nepal, we know more children in other parts of the world are also in desperate need of freedom.

In order to expand our vital work to a different region of the world, we must take time to carefully assess all aspects of operating in a new area. To that end, Destiny Rescue first establishes a Pilot Project.

Defining a Pilot Project

We are committed to rescuing children from exploitation and helping them stay free throughout the world. Before expanding rescue efforts, we review several factors, such as the overall trafficking situation, what government resources are available to survivors and what organizations are already on the front lines.

In some circumstances, we have the opportunity to partner with established entities. Thanks to leads from their local connections, we can often begin rescue operations together. After diligent research and a rigorous vetting process, we may set up programming in that region in a “pilot” phase.

Choosing Local Partners

Because of our work’s extremely sensitive (and often dangerous) nature, the Destiny Rescue leadership team utilizes a meticulous and thorough vetting process to ensure new partners meet our stringent requirements.

We review every aspect of the organization carefully. Their development track record, registration, current capacity, policies and systems are all analyzed in detail. For the safety of our rescues, we also perform multiple background checks on key staff members. Only after these steps are complete do we consider forming a partnership.

Dedicated Destiny Rescue local professionals eliminate a significant part of the “learning curve” associated with operating in a new locale or culture. When they join forces with local organizations, Destiny Rescue can efficiently combine specialties and proficiencies, which reduces the time needed to begin rescue operations.

Assessing Operations

Once Destiny Rescue decides to initiate the pilot phase, theory meets action in the form of a flexible and safe trial run. We want to ensure our resources are appropriately allocated and our operations offer robust and sustainable solutions that truly help children be rescued and stay free.

Pilot projects give us the chance to assess several factors: our collaboration with local partners, budget requirements, scalability and staff needs. Because operating in a pilot phase allows space to learn and grow without the weight of external pressure, we use this time to learn what adjustments are needed before a full launch.

Destiny Rescue leadership also uses this pilot phase to assess whether operating in this new region is the best use of our resources. Our priority is rescuing children; anything that diverts us from that goal is dropped.

Launch

Once the partners are vetted, operations are healthy, the budget is stable, and sufficient Freedom Plans are in place, we’re ready for the next step. After reviewing essential metrics, we exit the pilot phase and begin a full-scale, long-term commitment, announcing the project and considering our presence established fully in that location as an official Rescue Nation.

When you support Destiny Rescue, you’re funding the ever-expanding work of rescue by joining forces with teams of freedom fighters across the world dedicated to rescuing children and helping them stay free.
