We are thrilled you are launching a Rescue Sunday at your church. This toolkit contains everything you need to lead your church down the “Jericho Road” and empower your church to rescue kids. On behalf of the King and the kids, thank you for joining us in rescuing precious children and empowering them to live their God-preferred destinies.

Choose your Rescue Sunday

Your date: Choose the date that works best for you and your church.

Your response: Choose how you want to rescue from the two options below.

Rescue a Child
(offering)

Set a goal of rescuing one or more children as a united church body. The average cost it takes to rescue a child from trafficking and exploitation and equip her to stay free is $1,500.

Rescue Partner
(monthly giving)

Encourage your church to sign up to be Rescue Partners.

Rescue Partners provide vital funds to help rescue children from human trafficking and sexual exploitation and equip them to stay free. This crucial support is what allows us to continue rescuing kids out of nightmare realities and help restore God’s preferred destiny in their lives.

Step 2
Customize your Rescue Sunday

(from start to finish)

Your Rescue Sunday can look however you want utilizing one of two flexible formats:
a Rescue Sunday Highlight or a Rescue Sunday Spotlight.

Highlight
(3-5 min. announcement)

A Rescue Sunday Highlight is a 3-5 minute window during the service that could include: a short Destiny Rescue video (provided below) OR a testimony from a pastor or church member that gives a quick overview of our mission and where we work; an invitation to the church to pray for survivors, kids yet to be rescued and the Destiny Rescue team; and an invitation to give to help rescue kids and equip them to stay free.

Spotlight
(integrated into sermon)

A Rescue Sunday Spotlight is where the pastor preaches their full sermon (using one of our Destiny Rescue outlines, provided below, if desired) weaving in 10-12 minutes about Destiny Rescue into their sermon (a step-by-step how-to is provided below). This would be followed by an invitation to the church to pray for survivors, kids yet to be rescued and the Destiny Rescue team and an invitation to give to help rescue kids and equip them to stay free.
