63 people rescued from labor trafficking in Asia
63 men, women, and children were rescued via multiple rescue operations in September.
27 of the survivors were children between 11 and 17 years old. While we primarily seek out children who are victims of sex trafficking, our investigative operations sometimes lead us to others trapped in different forms of trafficking. Rather than turn a blind eye to their plight, we try to help when we can in these situations.

Traffickers had been sexually exploiting the victims, including a few boys and young men, in a tourist area of the Philippines. Aside from providing an in-depth investigation, our agents helped law enforcement by supplying undercover work, surveillance, victim interviews, and operational manpower.
The survivors have all been returned home, and the trafficker was arrested.
