India’s Forgotten Sex Slaves: The Jogini

The Jogini are seen as the lowest of the low – a prostitute who receives no payment for the acts she’s compelled to engage in. Often dedicated at a young age, tradition dictates that a Jogini girl is not to be ‘used’ until she reaches puberty, then she can be anybody’s.
