The last week of school holidays and it was time for the Chiang Rai Kids Home’s first camping trip to the new Destiny Rescue farm near the Ja Daet hill tribe village.
We spent three days and two nights at the farm, and had a fantastic time. From the time we arrived until the minute we left, there were kids running everywhere and discovering nature at its best. The weather was hot, so we made a dam in the stream as a swimming hole to cool off in. There were smiling faces as far as you could see!
During the day we would play games, pick fruit, play in the stream, and the boys would go fishing. At night we would have more games and a worship service that ended in Karaoke. We had over 80 people on this camping trip; approximately forty kids, twenty rescue/prevention girls plus staff. It was a great time, and the kids had an absolute ball.
Now the kids are heading back to school, but are all looking forward to the next school holidays.
