Destiny Rescue Staff in Thailand make regular trips into the remote hill tribes to provide this forgotten group of people with a day filled with games, fun and an interactive concert in the evening.
The events are part of the Greenlight Foundation sponsored program - Building Sustainable Communities. The events are used to build relationships with the villagers and raise awareness and educate on issues like child trafficking, AIDS, good hygiene and business development. The team uses a combination of skits, games, testimonies, songs and short lectures to ensure that the message is understood by all generations.
The concerts usually draw between 150 to 400 people, ranging from babies to great grandparents. The team works hard to entertain and educate the crowd with games, balloon animals, prizes, skits and great music, a mix of modern and some popular Thai songs. These concerts are proving to be a huge success and an effective tool in educating villages and moving to end child slavery.
