While disturbing, the following stories are true and give you just a glimpse into the horrors that many young girls have to face every day. Orm's Story

Orm came to our Safe Home early in 2008. She was fifteen years old.

Orm knew the hardships of living in a family that existed day-to-day by begging for food. Her house was made from scraps of cardboard and any other materials that could be used to form a makeshift home. Her mother knew the daily hurt of seeing that her family was hungry and without nice clothes. Orm never knew her father, as he had left the family right after she was born.

Orm's life of unhappy memories began when she was only seven. A man from her village decided that he was incapable of having a relationship with a woman. A young girl would be a better and safer option for a "real" man, so he chose Orm. He repeatedly raped her, wounding her fragile body and writing an indelible memory on her impressionable young mind. Her age of innocence had ended.

At twelve years of age, Orm began to develop into a young woman. Her mother thought that this was a possible answer to their financial drought, so a buyer for one little twelve year old body was found. Buyers are easy to find. A Western man from France offered to pay cash, so her mother was able to ensure there was food on the table and sometimes even managed to pay for schooling for the children.

This man didn't buy Orm to keep her. He just paid $50 every six months for the privilege of releasing his tirade of sexual fantasies on her little body. Whenever he called from his hotel room, Orm was sent to fulfil his ever demanding desires. Over the next three years, she would be forced to perform every imaginable act for him in front of the camera so that her mother could be assured that the family would be fed.

However, one day the man was a little too careless. Orm was called to his hotel room as usual, but this time the Anti Trafficking Police were watching his exploits. He was caught and Orm was taken to our Safe House.

It was with Destiny Rescue that her wounds began to heal. Many times she would quietly cry as she described the indecent acts that she had to perform. She described her heartache at knowing the internet contained scenes of her little naked body performing all kinds of horrible things. However, she is recovering day by day, and has now been to court to face her perpetrator. He denied ever knowing her, so the court produced an array of photos of him naked with our fifteen year old girl. More humiliation for her, but it was convincing evidence for the court. He was sentenced to imprisonment.

Now slowly, thanks to the commitment of the staff at Destiny Rescue and to Jesus, the author of her new destiny, she is being released from her own sentence of imprisonment that was so wrongfully thrust on her. Her big brown and very beautiful eyes belie the years of trauma, and her heart is now capable of trust and love. At Destiny Rescue, she has finally found her very own FAMILY.

Vaesna's Story

Vaesna was admitted to our care when she was 13 years old.

Vaesna never knew her father and her mother gave her away to her grandmother when she was very young. Her grandmother was very poor and looked after her as best as she could. Vaesna supported her extended family by selling food in the markets. In this way she was a great asset to them, but as a female, she was most often viewed as a liability. In addition, Vaesna had been raped the year before, so the family name was a source of embarrassment in her village, as she had been branded a 'whore'.

Eventually the daily routine of selling food at the markets provided an opportunity for human flesh traders. They bought Vaesna for an undisclosed sum of money, well they at least promised to pay, and then proceeded to arrange false identity and shipment for her out of the country.

Vaesna had been sold as a sex slave. This time however, she would be spared the lifetime of degradation. The Police had been alerted, the perpetrators were prosecuted and Vaesna was delivered into the care of Destiny Rescue Girl's Homes for rehabilitation.

Six months passed and we discovered that she had many talents, language being one of them. She spoke 3 languages and had begun to learn yet another one... the language of LOVE. She met Jesus and became a part of His family. One year after coming to Destiny Rescue, she began to share about her past horror of rape. She cried as she recalled the physical pain, and cried more as she recalled the emotional pain. She had never told anyone about it before because the man had threatened her with death if she did.

Vaesna's hour of disclosure had only just begun. She began to sob uncontrollably as she told us how she had once gone swimming at the local water hole, where as many as 20 young boys raped and abused her. Battered and distraught, she went to the village doctor for help, but instead, he took advantage of the situation and raped her too. After this she went to the local shopkeeper, desperate for help and he raped her as well, right there in his shop. From then on, the local boys thought that they had a free ticket to her body and frequently raped her. Whenever they had the need, Vaesna had the body. This is the real life story that confronted Destiny Rescue staff and opened up the opportunity for us to begin the healing process together.

Many months have passed and Vaesna is now learning cooking, and has her own little business. Vaesna will remain with Destiny Rescue until she is old enough and secure enough in every area of her life to move into her own future. Laying aside the things of the past and seeing all things with a new heart, soul and mind.
