Make A Stand is an awareness and fundraising campaign, designed specifically to raise support for young children trapped in the sex industry, and for those children "at risk" of being lured or sold into brothels. Why Get Involved? Everyday 3000 children are being sold or lured into prostitution. We can do something to stop this from happening and rescue those children already being abused! What Can I Do? You can help Make A Stand by literally standing up for a period of time on a designated day. You will raise the money by asking for sponsorship from friends and family for you to stand. The longer you stand the more money you raise... it's as simple as that!* Make A Stand is your opportunity to stand up and say NO to children being sold into sexual slavery, saying NO to poverty and saying NO to child abuse! *If you are physically unable to stand due to medical reasons, you can still participate in the Make A Stand event. Instead of standing, you can set yourself a personal challenge for the duration of the event such as, not using your mobile phone, not watching TV, not talking etc. |
