How much of my child sponsorship money gets to the children?
We send 100% of child sponsorship funds overseas to help the children, families and communities within our programs. All administration costs are covered through fundraisers and other donations.
What sort of help does my sponsorship money do for the child?
The way your sponsorship money helps the child is both many and varied, but the most
common forms of help are the following: Food, schooling, multivitamins, medical assistance,
clothing, vocational training, toilet installations etc. The main goal of the child sponsorship is to
eventually make the child and family self reliant i.e. so the team is constantly working towards
ways for this to eventuate.
Do you only help Christian families and children?
No, a person’s faith has no bearing on whether help is given; in fact we have children who are
Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, Animist as well as Christians within our programs
Does a child have to become a Christian to continue to receive support?
No. Children are not required to become Christians to stay within the sponsorship program.
Destiny Rescue however is a Christian organization and promotes Christian values, we present
our faith as a life style of action and compassion rather than just a belief.
Yes the children are given opportunity to become Christians, but neither the children nor their
families are under any compulsion to become Christians.
Would my sponsored child suffer if I were late in sending my sponsorship?
No, the reason for this is all child sponsorship funds are pooled. This allows
us to spread the funds over the children and families within the programs to ensure nobody
is left hungry and greatest needs are being met. We would however appreciate you contacting
our office if you know you will be late in your sponsorship, so we are better able to plan.
