Mozambique Rescue Homes
Destiny Rescue is building a safe community for girls rescued from the sex trade in Caia in the north of Mozambique. Caia is a small community in a very arid zone of Mozambique located on a major trucking and trade route across the Zambezi. The extreme poverty and lack of legitimate opportunity in the area has made the children in this area very vulnerable to and exploited by the unscrupulous sex industry. This safe community will give these children a secure environment to start a new life as they restart education and vocational training.
A local village elder has donated a block of land large enough to accommodate 20 homes in close proximity to shops and school. Destiny Rescue will build fired mud brick homes with 2 bedrooms, a shared area, corrugated iron roof and secure doors and windows that are large enough to house 8 people. A widow, from the current widows program, will move into the house with her children and be employed as a house mother to girls from the rescue program. Giving security to both the widow and her family and the rescue girls.
The homes will be built from sturdy materials to ensure long life and that they are able to withstand the extremes of heat, dry and wet that are routine to life in Mozambique.
You can be part of this life changing project by donating the $8000 necessary to build a home or acting as a coordinator/advocate to raise enough money for one house. Perhaps your sporting group, church or work place would take on the challenge of building one or more homes that could be named in thankfulness after your group.

Mozambique Rescue Homes Amenities Blocks
As part of the safe community being built in Caia Destiny Rescue will build shared amenities blocks. Each amenities block will service 4 homes and provide shower, toilet and washing facilities for the widows and rescue girls.

Child Prostitution Investigation Teams
One of the major expenses of rescuing girls from the sex trade is the large amount of investigation work that has to be carried out before a rescue can take place. You can partner with us to give these girls back their freedom and dignity by donating $200 to cover the usual costs of an investigation for our undercover team. This money would cover the costs of trips to the girls village to gain information about where she may have been taken as well as the costs of the undercover work to locate and rescue her.
